Welcome to PrayerSpeak.com - and to powerful prayer!
Who Are We?
We are a Christian prayer site dedicated to promoting practical and powerful prayer.
We acknowledge that PrayerSpeak.com does not contain all there is to know about prayer. We also acknowledge that there are many who touch God every moment with powerful prayers that are able to loose the Glory of the Father and His marvelous promises. On the other hand, there are many others who struggle with prayer.
Many in the Christian community would love to draw closer to God with their words but they feel unable to for various reasons. Our hope is that any who feel inadequate in the matter of prayer might learn some things here that would give them the confidence to approach the God of the Universe with boldness; that they would develop an eagerness to speak to Him, and be anxious to see Him at work in their lives.
What Is Prayer?
Prayer is conversing with God; to pray is to have a conversation with Almighty God; simply put, praying to God is to speak to God.
Prayer can take many forms; one may speak, shout, sing or even murmur under their breath. In a moment when trouble comes there may only be enough time to blurt out the name of Jesus Christ... yet in the space of that nanosecond... all that one is asking and believing God for can spill across the theatre of the mind and burst before the Throne with power!
Prayer may be short and sweet, or long and laborious; It may burst forth in a moment of fright, or materialize after long and quiet meditation. Prayer may be in the form of words, or a song perhaps... but however the form, whatever the words... prayer must line up with the words and will of Almighty God if it is to loose the hand of God and the power of His Spirit.
Prayer is a learned ability
"And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples." Luke 11:1
The disciples asked Jesus to teach them how to pray.
Just as the Apostle John taught his disciples to pray, so the disciples of Jesus Christ would come to Jesus seeking a correctness in praying that would allow them to experience a greater oneness with the Father; should we do any less?
The disciples had a hunger to pray with the same thoughtfulness and fervency they witnessed as Jesus prayed, and as Christians we should desire the same, but how can we do so unless we receive truthful instruction on how to pray?
A Correct Way To Pray.
Some come to God in fear, others come in ignorance, and many come as confident children... but all must come correctly to experience God's best.
Scripture commands that we enter into the very presence of God Almighty, with true hearts, fully trusting God by faith because we have a comprehension that our evil consciences have been sprinkled with the blood of Jesus Christ to make us clean, and that our bodies have been washed with the pure water of the Word: "Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water." Hebrews 10:22
Additionally:
• Jesus said that we are supposed to pray to the Father in the name of Jesus Christ and believe that our God will hear us and give us what it is we ask for. John 16:23
• We are to believe and then speak. Second Corinthians 4:13
• We are to believe that we will receive what we ask for. Mark 11:24
• With thanksgiving we are to let our requests be made known unto God. Philippians 4:6
Benefits Of Prayer... The Multiplicity Of Salvation; the desire of God for every area of our lives: spirit, soul, and body.
If we don't know the will, or desire, of God how can we pray effectively?
The word salvation, and the implication of salvation, is meant to denote much more than the formal attributes listed most often by many theologians. While salvation from the penalty of sin, the power of sin, the very presence of sin, as well as the pleasure of sin is to be found at Calvary’s cross, so too may the multiplicity of salvation’s blessings be conferred by Calvary, and realized in totality, upon all who will gain wisdom and knowledge in the matter.
The words savior, salvation, and save which are found throughout both the Old and New Testaments have multiple meanings. Whether these words are translated from the Hebrew or the Greek, they each are translated to have multiples of the following connotations: to save, make whole, heal, keep safe and sound, to rescue from danger or destruction, to protect, and to prosper. They have to do with welfare, safety, victory, prosperity, health, deliverance, as well as salvation for Heaven.
The words savior, salvation, and save all have to do with preserving through danger, bringing safely through, curing one who is sick, keep from perishing, and to rescue or save out of danger. Look into this yourself, locate these words in a good Bible concordance such as The New Strong's Exhaustive Concordance of The Bible and you will see this to be true.
Our Prayer for all who visit:
It is our sincere hope and prayer that this site gives all who visit a new outlook on who they are in Christ Jesus and what they have as a child of the living God.
I pray a blessing over you:
That you continue to become more hungry for God and His ways than you already are, that you continue to become more in love with God and His Word than you already might be.
I pray the Holy Spirit would begin to reveal Kingdom of God principles and concepts to your heart and mind, and that you would operate in God's ways of doing and being on every occasion.
I thank God that you experience the fruit of Psalm Twenty Three and Psalm Ninety One... at work, active and effective, every day of your life!
And now, Father God, may the eyes and hearts of all who visit here be always open to Your plan for their lives. May they always see themselves as You see them. May they always experience Your kingdom principles. May they always rest in Your love, and may they always be victorious overcoming Christians.
In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
